What Causes Brown Lump Discharge From Vagina?

hi ive had period type pains all day but i dont get periods cause im on the depo pill injection. Ive just stood up off my sofa and felt like pushing. I pushed a brown lump type thing out n i was wondering what it is, n if i should keep it to show my doctor. I dont know what to do.
