HELLO DOCTOR, I AM 75 YRS. OLD AND HAVE NOTICED THAT MY SMEN IS A BROWNISH COLOR.I HAVE NO PAIN OF ANYKIND, THE ONLY THING THAT I HAD DONE WAS A COLONOSCOPY ABOUT 6 WKS. AGO. DO YOU THINK THAT THIS COULD BE CONTRIBUTING TO THIS DISCOLORATION OF SEMEN??DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR ME???

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Brown colored semen could be due to presence of altered blood in semen or intake of some drug causing brown discoloration.
Colonoscopy is not likely to cause brown discoloration of semen.
I suggest you to get a semen analysis to look for evidence of red blood cells or any other abnormal component.
In case there is history of drug intake, the drug can be a possible cause of brown discoloration but in that case all body fluids like urine, tears etc show brown discoloration.

Thanks and take care
