What Causes Brown Spots On Hands And Back?

Hi last week I notice some brown spots on my 5 year old daughters hands. At first I thought her hands where dirty so I washed. It looks like a stain and some friends have told me it looks like a chemical burn. Today they seem a bit darker. She has had a similar one on her back for a while now the size of a quarter. That one looks darker some days then lighter.

Hi,

What is the exact colour and shape? Any itching / burning? Any colour change from red-blue-dark? If changes in colour as mentioned, this might suggest purpura / ecchymoses, and in this case we need to get a platelet count done to rule out thrombocytopenia. Kindly get back with details, and a good quality picture so that we can assist you better.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
