I 23nt to the eye doctor today and he saw brown spots on both corneas and he told me to be sure to mention to my gastrology doctor. Said it may mean some liver disorder and I have had fatty liver so I am looking to see what types of liver disorder this could be a symptom n of
Good day. The condition that your doctor is concerned about is likely to be Wilson's disease , which can be one of the secondary causes for nonalcoholic fatty liver dsiease. It can cause the brown copper ring deposit around the cornea called Kayser-Fleisher ring.
When it comes to cornea brown deposits, there will be also a list of possible oral medications which can cause a whorl like brown deposit on cornea. Such as indomethacin, amiodarine, chloroquine ( provided you are on medicine with underlying disease).
I hope my answer has solved your doubt. thanks .
