What Causes Brown Spotting After Intercourse?

Hi, I am not expecting my period until next week, currently taking Orsythia. I have not had sex for over a year and just had it for the first time this weekend. The next day, I noticed brown spotting and is still continuing. I usually get brown spotting a day or two before my period but not two weeks. Something to be concern about?
