What Causes Brown Spotting And Discharge During Periods?

hello, i already had my period this month but last night i started seeing brown on the toilet paper when i wiped, it was very light. today there is thick dark red blood and what looks to be old brown blood when i wipe. can you please tell me what may be going on with me?
