What Causes Brown Stringy Vaginal Discharge While On Birth Control Pills?
I have been having vaginal discharge for 3 days that is mostly stringy and brown but sometimes has fresh blood. I am on birth control and am at end of week 3 of active pills, having missed none this month. Pegnancy tests say negative. I have not taken any placebo pills so I shouldn t I have a period. What may be causing this?

It is quite common to have occasional discharge during birth control pills, because it is related to hormonal imbalances. Anyway, I would recommend performing an abdominal ultrasound and a colposcopy in order to be sure that everything is okay.
