What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge After Having IUD Implanted?
Hello, I have brown stuff coming out of my vagina and don t know what it is. It s been happening since last December when I had an abortion and had an IUD implanted. My periods last about 2 weeks and the brown stuff lasts about 1 week. Should I visit a doctor or is this normal?

Brown discharge can be normal finding after IUD insertion due to hormonal imbalance.
But there are so many causes other than IUD for brown discharge, so as it continue for more than 2-3 cycles you should consult a gynecologist and get yourself examined to rule out the cause.
Most common causes are hormonal imbalance, fibroid, polyp, thyroid disorder, infection, stress etc.
