What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge After Unprotected Sex?

Hi i just had unprotected sex 3 days ago with my boyfriend and noticed today that im having dark brown discharge. Mind you i m on the depo and just ended my period last week with brown discharge still happening and it hapened for 4 days and the brown discharge just stopped last saturday and its happening again :/. Why is it happening ?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

I am guessing your doctor did not inform you about a few of the side effects of the depo shot and this is one of them. It is nothing to be worried about and so you need not really take this as a cause for concern. But if it does not subside in a few days time or it is associated with other symptoms as well, I would recommend a visit to your prescribing doctor.
