What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge, Dizziness And Anorexia Post Consumption Of Postinor 2?
I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the 8th of January. I took postinor 2 pills after that. I took one pill at 10pm and the next pill at 10am the following day. Three days after ingestion of the pill I started feeling dizzy and nauseous. Nine days after the pill ingestion I lost my appetite and the dizziness is still present. In addition, I noticed some brown discharge on my Panty yesterday. Could I be pregnant? I am so worried. I talked to my boyfriend he said I can t be pregnant coz he did not cum and plus I used the emergency pills. Kindly advice me.

Since you have taken Postinor pills within 72 hours of the sexual intercourse, you are protected from pregnancy. In fact you have taken double dose of Postinor and hence you are feeling the symptoms like dizziness, nausea, vomiting, etc. This is the effect of the Progestational medicine present in Postinor. It causes gastritis with raised stomach acidity. Some proton pump inhibitors like Pantoprazole on empty stomach in the morning for few days will relieve you form this discomfort.
Postinor has few after effects:
1. Few days after their consumption, there is some bleeding, which is normal. You had such bleeding.
2. The following period may get delayed by few days to a week. You can wait patiently for the periods to appear.
Though he has not ejaculated inside your vagina, pre-ejaculation secretions (precum) are passed unknowingly. Precum does contain some sperms which can cause pregnancy. However, since you had taken Postinor, you are well protected. However, you should not practise withdrawal method for contraception; it is very unreliable method.
However, if the menses are delayed for more than 10 days, you may perform pregnancy test on overnight first morning urine sample for confirmation.
