What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge During Pregnancy?
Hi I've been having a clear whtish discharge that has a slight odor with brown specks in my vaginal area since i found out i was pregnant about 6 months ago and now i'm having it everyday and it's starting to be very uncomfortable. It's also starting to feel irritated down there, So i went to the doctor to get a physical about 11 days ago and they did a pap smear and everything but they never gave me any results which really has me worried. Once i arrived at home i started to think that maybe they would just call me within a few days and give me my results but they never did.So my question is Could it be that there's nothing wrong that's why they haven't notified me or do i have to go to a follow up appt to get my test results because something is wrong?
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Brown discharge or spotting in pregnancy can be due to vaginal infection, bleeding around the foetus( subchorionic haemorrhage) or idiopathic( no cause found), or due to any local lesions in cervix or vagina. Most probably your test would have been normal, that is why they have not notified you. I would still suggest you to go for a follow-up visit to confirm the diagnosis.
