What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge When On Birth Control Pills?

Hello, I am on birth control pills (Rigedivon) I Think it is called, which means i take 21 tablets then have my week where i don't. Anyway I am a week and a half into taking my pills, so i have another week and half left until my period at least. But Monday i forgot to take my pill and only realised tuesday morning when i was taking that pill so i quickly doubled up, But shortly after that i noticed a brown discharge when i went to the toliet. It isn't heavy yet, but still i don't think thats normal seeing as I'm only a week and half into my pills. Help?

Hello,

It sounds as if the missing of pills causes some breakage in the lining of the womb which showed up as a brownish discharge later on. It is important to set time reminders and not miss the pills as it can disturb the hormone levels in the body and produce symptoms such as this or reduce effectiveness.
