What Causes Brown Vaginal Spotting And Mild Cramps While On Levothyroxine And Vitamin B12?
Yes, recently I found out my thyroid was out of range along with my vitamin b12 and vitamin d. I am currently taking b12, and vitamin d supplements and also Levothyroxine. Anyway my period is a week late and so I took 2 home first response pregnancy tests which were positive. Then I took 2 clear blue ditgital home pregnancy test which said pregnant. Then today I ve noticed some brown spotting and mild cramping. Is this normal? Am I really pregnant or is my medication causing false positives??
You are pregnant based on the test results. Levothyroxine and vitamin B12 does not cause false positive results for pregnancy. Spotting may occur in pregnancy due to implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding typically defined as a small amount of light spotting or bleeding that occurs about 10 to 14 days after conception is normal.
Implantation bleeding occurs when the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus. Visit your doctor in case of excess bleeding or abdominal cramps.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
