What Causes Brown Vaginal Spotting Between Periods?

I m 40. My period came 3 days early 0ctober 30 and usually I get it on November 3 or 4th. It ended on November 3rd. On the 5th, I noticed some maroon color spotting. Usually I spot the last few days of my menstrual cycle; not a few days after it has ended. I am still spotting (brownish/maroonish color). I am wondering if it s just finishing off my menstrual cycle or if it s a cause for concern. No other symptoms have occurred.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

Here your physical examination first should be done with pelvic examination and per speculum examination.....

USG should be done esp pelvic USG... This will be able to detect any organic cause if present like fibroid, endometriosis, ovarian problem etc according to which further specific treatment can be planned....

If menstrual irregularities with spotting more than primolute N like drug might prescribed

If by per speculum examination infective discharge present than swab taken for further work up...

Take care

Consult gynecologist for examination
