What Causes Brown Vaginal Spotting Despite Taking Unwanted 72 After Intercourse?

I am 23 years old girl,I met with my bf on 12 feb,and have sex,and due to break of condom,sperm was put inside in my body.after 1 hour I will take unwanted 72.and after 6 days ,a little brownish blood came,and then stop after a moment,and also itching starts in my body,so plz tell me can I m pregnant?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Postinor 2 is an emergency contraceptive pill. It needs to be taken in 2 doses of 12 hours apart within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.
What you have done is right by taking the pill by 1 hour.
To be protected from pregnancy, you need to get her breakthrough bleeding within 3 weeks from the day of intake of the pill. Some of them might experience vaginal spotting and itching sensation a couple of days before breakthrough bleeding happens. Kindly keep your genital hygiene in good condition.
In case you do not bleed by 3 weeks, you need to seek medical attention immediately.
