What Causes Brown Vomiting While Suffering From Acid Reflux?

I am experiencing really bad acid reflux. I threw up dark brown stringy looking vomit and keep swallowing more acid. I am concerned that it s blood I am throwing up and would like to know if it s ok to wait till morning to call the dr or do I need to go to ER?

Thanks for the question-

Colour of the vomiting, is dark brown due to blood in vomiting, which is not fresh. This usually happens, with some ulcer in the lower part of food pipe or stomach, which is bleeding. I recommend you to go to ER, as ulcer may bleed profusily with repeated vomitings. You might be having long standing acidity or some risk factor causing ulcers in stomach. Take Care
