What Causes Brownish Discharge During Menstruation?

I am currently on the birth control bill. My periods are very short in only lasting 2 days maybe 3. Last month my period lasted one day and was very light! I took a pregnancy test about three weeks ago and it was negative. Then this week which is time for my period, after using the restroom noticed dark brown blood just when I wiped. Just one time... That was it. It has now been a week since by period (going off the bc pill) should have started? Any ideas what could be going on??

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Oral contraceptives are known to decrease the amount and flow of the menstrual blood. It is not a pathological condition and is due to the decreased growth of the endometrium under the hormonal effects.
I would suggest you not to worry.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
