What Causes Brownish Discharge During Menstruation?

my period was due on the sept 14th but at 3am i went to the bathroom and as i urinated i saw a lot of blood. however as the day went on as well as today i ve only been spotting brown/ pinkish and it only appears when i wipe. i ve been trying to conceive so i took a pregnancy test and that came back negative. im confused could you be of any help

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Scanty flow during the periods can be due to pregnancy, hormonal disturbances or due to infection.
If the urine pregnancy test is negative, then the pregnancy is ruled out.
You should get your thyroid hormone levels and prolactin levels checked to rule out hormonal disturbances and get appropriate treatment.
