What Causes Brownish Discharge During Menstruation?

i recently got off my period saturday july 31 or sunday august 1st and this past saturday august 7th i had unprotected sex. now, two days later, i am bleeding like im on my period. its like a brown ish dark red color. this has never happend before and im really scared. what could be the problem?
