What Causes Brownish Vaginal Discharge After Taking Cefuroxime Axetil?

I have recently been prescribed cefuroxime axetil 500 mg tab and have noticed a brownish vaginal discharge, new. Also increased muscular pain above usual arthritis - both osteo and rheumatoid; and I am allergic to penicillin - of which the doctor is aware. What could be happening? Is there possibility of damage to any internal organs?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have brownish vaginal discharge after taking Cefuroxime Axetil . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms are probably due to Cefuroxime Axetil as its side effects .Well this drug known to cause such symptoms as its side effects like unusual bleeding and vaginal discharge . I would suggest you to consult your doctor without ant delay and discuss the situation with him/her . Doctor may alster the dose r prescribe substitute . There are very rare chance that it could damage any internal organ .
