What Causes Brownish Vaginal Discharge After Taking Plan B Ipills?

I Was on birth control but stopped taking it a few months back. I had sex on october 29th and we started off using a condom. It then he took it off, he pulled out and I took the plan b pill the day after. I started taking the birth control a week after the unprotected sex but two weeks later and I am experiencing brown discharge from my vagina. I have been wearing a pad but why is this discharge occurring?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
You are getting brown discharge because you are stopping birth control pills and starting it again as per your wish, which you are not supposed to do so. It might have caused hormonal imbalance affecting your periods.
Plan B is an emergency contraceptive pill, which you have taken it at proper time (within 72 hours after an unprotected intercourse). You should have waited for the breakthrough bleeding to happen and then started with birth control pills. Instead, you have started a week later without getting your periods, which shouldn't have been done.
Kindly consult Gynecologist and get clinically evaluated so that your condition can be appropriately treated.
