What Causes Brownish Vaginal Discharge And Abdominal Cramping?

I m 18 and ive had this weird cramping pain for the past like 4-5 days now and i went to the emergancy room couple days ago to get checked out and they said it was costochondritis, the pain isnt that bad today but i noticed some brownish discharge when i used the bathroom.. Im scared, what could it be? I ended my last menstrual period july 10th..

Brown discharge is most usually dried or old blood from menstruation. It does not usually signify a significant problem

You can monitor to see if there are any changes.
