What Causes Brownish Vaginal Discharge During Pregnancy While Having Diabetes?

I am diabetic and have had a previous miscarriage I will be 6 weeks pregnant this weekend and last Friday after opening my bowels I had a light brown discharge. The same happened the next day. I have had nothing since for the past week. This morning (Friday) after opening my bowel I wiped and had a light brown discharge. What could be causing this? I have an early scan in 4 days time but am worried I may be miscarring again.

Hello,

Spotting or bleeding in early pregnancy can be due to:
1. Threatened abortion or missed abortion.
2. Ectopic pregnancy.
3. Bleeding around the fetus( subchorionic hemorrhage).
The diagnosis confirmed by ultrasound. I would suggest you consult an obstetrics and gynecology specialist to get properly examined, investigated including ultrasound, and get appropriate treatment.
