What Causes Bruise Above Painful Ankle Post Injury?

i hurt my ankle back in may and went to PT for a while and my ankle got better, but for the last couple of weeks i have been having slight pain around my ankle, the bottom of my foot, and around my achilles tendon. and today there is bruise on the inner part of my leg above my ankle. should i be worried about any of this. thanks :)
