What Causes Bruise And Blister On The Wrist Post Injury?

I took a very bad fall on the ice. I smashed the back side of my left wrist and just about the center of the same arm. I cant really figure out how. Alchol was being consumed.. It was in the minus 30 s and both parts hit the edge dead on. They bruised imediaty. The wrist has now puffed right up and is feeling like a boil now. The arm forarm part is lumpy and hard. could this injury on my wrist actually be turning into a boil??

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

So sorry to hear about your problem and will try my level best to resolve it..

As per your complain lumpy and swollen area on the forearm that happened to occur after fall on ice seems to be due to traumatic injury to the wrist and the hard lump can be due to Hematoma formation..
It occurs due to rupture of superficial blood vessels due to injury and it leads to accumulation of blood into the soft tissues and formation of a harmless lump known as Hematoma..
It does not seems to be a boil but a Hematoma..
You should however consult a General Physician/Orthopedician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x rays can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.

As of now you can do alternate warm and cool compresses over the lump..
Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
You can apply Heparin gel as it helps in faster resolution of Hematoma..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
