What Causes Bruise Like Marks On The Back Of Thighs?

I have these strange bruiseslike marks on the back of my thighs. They have been there for about 3 weeks. they are mysterious looking. like they are under the skin maybe mimicking my circulatory system but they look like bruises. they do not hurt. I look like I am turning into a leopard there. what could it be. the only thing that I could think of is that I noticed them after a long car ride without airconditioning. could I have possibly scorched the back o my legs. my boyfriend seems to think that they are fading but im not sure. What do you think It sounds like?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history, you are having a fungal infection called as tinea corporis. My treatment advice is -
1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Apply an antifungal cream like Clotrimazole cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral Fluconazole, Itraconazole and Terbinafine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

If the problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
