What Causes Bruise On Spine With Pain And Weakness In Leg?

I'm having pain directly on my lower lumbar spine with slight weakness in my right leg, which travels down outslde of leg to ankle and heel. When in a flexed position, there appears to be bruising around the spine itself. What could cause this bruising? There was no acute trama, but leg symptions seem to be getting worse.
