What Causes Bruise Post Charley Horse ?

Hello, I had a charlie horse in my sleep on my left calf about three weeks ago and then had a bruise from it. i still have the brusie and am wondering what happened and if i should be concerned. i have had charlie horses before while i slept but neve caused bruising until now.
