Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have noticed over the last few weeks, the inside of my shins show no discoloration, but feel bruised to the touch I do not jog, but I do walk. I ride my bike almost every day. If I cross my legs in bed, it feels very sensitive. The outside of my shins do not have this pain. I do not have diabetes and I am 5 9 and weigh 182. Should I go see a doctor? Or is this just from the exercise?
As per my clinical experience, the bruise feeling on shin can be due to: - unnoticed abrasion - skin gaping without obvious laceration - hypersensitivity issue of certain allergen (possible without itch) - others
In my clinic, I do recommend ice application for 5 minutes each 3 times a day and later follow up after 2 days.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
