What Causes Bruised Leg And Swollen Bone Above Ankle?

I bruised my leg ( above the ankle)2 months ago.I had a large swelling on the bone above my ankle which eventually seemed to be shrinking and healing .Last week a red rash appeared in the bruised area and swelling is above and below including my foot. I am an 86 year old male

Thanks for using HCM, I understand your concern and will try to give you my medical advice, I think that you could have a lymphangitis ( inflammation or infection of the lymphatic channels ) I recommend to you elevates your leg and ice it for 20 minutes every 2 hours and visit the doctor because is probably that you need some antibiotics treatment, only a physical exam can help you with the right diagnostic.
