What Causes Bruised Lump On The Collar Bone Of An Infant?
While I was changing my baby I notice a slight bruise and bump on her collar bone. It wasn't there this morning or afternoon. I've never seen this even with my other children. I have no idea what it is. She doesn't cry or anything when I touched it. Should I be concerned?
Understanding your concern. As per your query there is bruised lump on the collar bone of an infant . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like lipoma , osteoarthritis , friedrich disease and tumors of the clavicle . I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper examination . Doctor may order test like blood test , CT scan or take sample for lab test . Doctor may prescribe anti inflammatory , analgesic , recommend radio therapy , surgical excision or liposuction for lipoma . Doctor may also prescribe anti coagulant in case of hematoma or drain it I would suggest you to apply warm compresses on lump , take proper rest and do not massage it .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
