What Causes Bruised Spots At The Back Of Head?

there are 2 spots on the back of my head, the right and left side, that feel like they are bruised even when I don't touch them. This sensation has been going on for about a month. Also, when I tilt my head back and turn it to the right, there is a dull pain that shoots up from my neck to the right center of my head. What could this be?
