What Causes Bruises And Swelling Around The Eyes Post Treatment Of A Wound On Forehead?

I have a laceration of the forehead, it happened on Thursday around noon. I visited an urgent care and the doctor used medical super glue to close the wound. I am now experiencing swelling around the eyes and am worried that infection has set in. Just slight discoloring or bruising noticed so far. Should I go to the ER or wait till Monday to see my personal doctor?

Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to a the injury.

The swelling around the eyes can be related to the inflammation.

If you don't have other symptoms such as fever, I don't think that it can be an infection.

I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

I also suggest using cold compresses at the area of the swelling.
