What Causes Bruises On Leg And Arm Along With Pain In Buttocks?

hello, Ive been noticing bruising on different areas on my body that began about five months ago , mainly in my left leg, but a couple times in my inner right arm , its very tender to the touch and red in color, its not in the same spot every time but the same symptoms. yesterday i noticed pain in the back of my thigh, the pain radiated from my buttocks to my foot, it was very tender the slightest touch was excruciating. Today its higher up in the back of my thigh an in the bottom of my buttucks and still very tender a little hard to move that area, what should i do or should i go to my primary care physician?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I am sorry for the problems you are facing. Indeed, bruising without a known traumatic cause is a reason for concern, and requires immediate medical attention. So, to me, you should see your primary care physician first, get a good physical examination, and send for a few lab tests. Depending on the findings, we can decide for best treatment strategy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
