What Causes Bruises On The Arms?

I am 75 and experience easy bruising on hands and arms for the last 4 years or so. I do not take any blood thinners or steroids but do take 1400 mg fish oil daily and two 81 mg aspirin twice/week. I also take one 160 mg valsartan pill daily for high blood pressure.

Hello,

Bruising may be due to vitamin C deficiency or dermatographia or eczema or pressure induced rash et cetera.

Until examination and investigations are done, it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Monterleukast twice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
