What Causes Bruises On The Leg While Treating Staph Infection?

My 12 year old son is being treated for a staff infection. He just finished taking Cephalexin and has Mupirocin ointment that I am putting on the rash. The rash looks better but now I see lots of small bruises going down the sides of his legs to his knee. What is the cause of this? He said he doesn t remember falling.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You can wait for few days for spontaneous recovery.
If lesion persists better to consult a physician and get evaluated to rule out possible causes like allergic eruptions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
