Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The past 2 weeks ago I was very sick and diagnosed with the flu type B, about a week pre this I noticed little bruises on my thighs but wrote them off. I ve since recovered from the flu with only a nasty cough left, and just extreme fatigue. However the bruises are still present, they are purple, painless, and about he size of dimes, I have maybe 9 of them located on my right thigh.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have bruises on thigh while having flu . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to aging-related wear and tear called disk degeneration , it can also occur due to knee joint swelling , DVT and contact dermatitis. Hematoma due to injury or twisting and turning while lifting is also one of the major reason for this problem . It can also occur due to condition like STD. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for allergic problem and other problems . Doctor may order skin patch test , allergy test along with physical examination .For now apply cold compresses and protect it from direct sunlight .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
