What Causes Bruises On Thigh?

i am a forty year old female 5ft5in and 10 stone i have no major health problems. within the last couple of days a large briuse has appeared on the inner thigh of my left leg followed by smaller bruises on the rest of my thigh i have also noticed some smaller bruises on my right thigh and im wondering what could be the cause of this
