What Causes Bruising And Numbness On The Index Finger?

Hi, I have a bulging disk at C6 and had a steroid injection about a week ago. MY hands have been bothering me in the knuckles for about 3 weeks now. I have sore joints in my knees and the bottom of my feet hurt a lot. On Friday evening my right index finger turned purple and went numb the color came back with in a few min. then the numbing went away after about 20 min. Since then both my hands will turn red and feel very tight like they are swelled a little and then go back to normal. I have also been having hot flashes and after the hot flash I get the chills then back to normal again.

Consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

We have to rule out possibilities like neuropathic causes. A detailed evaluation including nerve conduction study is required.
