Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain bruising and swelling of the cheeks due to fall occurs due to traumatic injury to the soft tissues of cheek leading to inflammation leading to formation of inflammatory exudate as well as there are is rupture of minor blood vessels leading to spillage of blood into the soft tissues leading to hematoma formation.

The bruising and swelling occurs as a result of blood and fluid accumulation below the skin..

There is also proliferation of soft tissues and thus can lead to localization and encapsulation of the hematoma and thus a hard lump can be formed..

The bruising and hematoma takes a little longer time to resolve and you need not to panic..

I would suggest you to consult a physician and get evaluated for any bone fracture along with soft tissue injury..

In case if there is only soft tissue injury leading to bruising and swelling you can do cold compresses over the bruising and swelling..

Once the bruising and swelling reduces you can do alternate warm and cold packs for faster healing..

Apply thrombophob gel over the bruise and swelling..

In case of pain you can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Advil..

In case if there is any laceration or open wound you can apply antiseptic cream like neosporin or soframycin for preventing infection..

A course of antibiotics can also be taken..

Hope this helps..

Thanks and regards..
