What Causes Bruising And Swelling In Knees?

hello may 22nd i banged knees with another guy running and on the left portion of my knee cap there is bruising and swelling it takes physical force to get up from sitting and it goes numb when locked while walking it just feels as if i have a cramp in my knee what could it be?
