What Causes Bruising In Testicles After Landing On Them?
I got locked in a shower stall last night and I had to climb over the door and I ended up sitting right on my testicles. I noticed just a few minutes later that the left side was enlarged. The under side is black like a bruise. It doesn t really hurt unless I step hard, but there is slight discomfort. Is this just a bruise that will go away?
Hello Thanks for query, You have sustained injury to your scrotum and has noticed bruising of the scrotal sac.
This is mostly due to collection of hematoma in subcutaneous plane of scrotum.
However it is advisable to consult qualified Surgeon for clinical examination and get Ultrasound Scanning of Scrotum done to rule out any internal injury to testicles.
You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Augmentin along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.
It should get cured within a week,
Dr.Patil.
