What Causes Bruising Of Feet, Ankles And Lower Legs?

My husband s feet, ankles and lower legs are a bright red color...no sun exposure or freezing of the area has occurred. He is 64 years old, 6 1 , 185# s and in excellent health. There is no pain associated with it...just a very bright red color. Upper legs are not impacted.
