What Causes Bruising On Leg With Dent On Buttocks?

I had a bad household accident where an iron stool fell on me. The bruise turned black and blue. It is healing now but I am left with a dent in the buttocks. Also, the area just above the dent feels harder than the surrounding tissue. I am a healthy 34 year old female non smoker. I am also an avid runner. Today I tried to run, but that is going to take some more time. The dent is what has me really worried. Is it permanent?
