What Causes Bruising On Lower Back After An Injury?

I slipped on Ice on steep steps and landed on my left side and bottom. Bad bruising to bottom and now how alot of pain from my lower left back. Not there all the time but when i move a certain way or I get jolted it is agonising. No bruising though i know I landed on this too. Do I need medical help.
