What Causes Bruising On The Left Foot?
I m 74 - have an area on left foot that is discolored like a bruise. Don t remember hitting anything and it is not sore to the touch like a bruise would be. about 1/2 wide, like a horse shoe around the ankle bone. open toward the front, lighter on the top, darker near the foot pad. just noticed it yesterday, looks the same today.

This is probably just broken varicose vein and you should apply cold compression or heparin gel and it should disappear soon. later you should do Doppler ultrasound to see if there is disorder of vein valves in legs.
