Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
A lump in the armpit could be due to lymph node enlargement most probably.
A clinical assessment of the lumps is required.
Aspiration cytology of both sided lumps is necessary to know the nature of the lumps.
In aspiration cytology, cells are aspirated with the help of a needle, cells are spread on slide and stained with appropriate stains.
After studying the stained cells microscopically, the origin and nature of the lesion is known.
The treatment of the lesion can be planned once the nature of the lesion is known.

Thanks and take care
