I HAVE BULGING VEINS ACROSS MY KNEES AND ON THE LOWER HALF OF MY LEGS. I AM TRYING TO GET MY KAISER BENEFITS TO REMOVE THE VEINS. IS VEIN REMOVAL USUALLY COVERED BY INSURANCE? AND WILL THESE VEINS TRAVEL UP MY LEG? MY LEGS GET SWOLLEN AND ACHY DAILY AND I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO WEAR MOST OF MY SHOES. THANK YOU, TERRI

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to varicose veins. I suggest using compression stockings and exercise daily. I also suggest to keep the legs elevated. If the symptoms continue, another possible treatment can be sclerotherapy.
