Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter who is 28yrs old. is having bulging veins in both wrists and in her left wrist it is cooked inward and hurts to try to straighten it. She said it is moving up her arms to her elbow. It feel tingly and like icy hot. She is afraid her veins will burst because it is stretching her skin. What could cause this and how dangerous is it?
Varicose veins can develop when small valves in the veins become weak. These valves usually stop blood flowing backward through the veins, and when they are damaged blood can pool in the veins.
This causes twisted and swollen veins that also become very visible. Swelling of the feet and ankle.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
