Hi I have been in hospital lately with pain in left kidney area. Have had a decent amount of blood and leukocytes and nitrates in my urine. They thought it might be a stone and infection. However, when they have tried to cultivate any bacteria that is there nothing is growing and the ct scan showed my kidneys are normal, so no stone is there. But turns out from the ct scan that I have bulky ovaries with follicles on them that might be a result of polycysitic ovaries. I had an ultrasound and it confirmed this. Either way I feel no pain in my abdomen. I am in a lot of pain in my kidney area of my back and was wondering if the PCO could cause the pain there and why I have got leukocytes, nitrates and blood in my urine when tests show nothing is happening to my kidney. I would also like to know if it is possible to have PCO when I have had nothing to idicate a hormone imbalance like weight gain or downy facial hair. If it is not possible then what would cause the bulky ovaries with follicles? Just as a side note as well... my hands and feet have swollen a lot. I dont know if this is to do with meds but thought I would add it. Hope you can answer my questions. Thanks
